Description

The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for providing a high level of expertise in repairing, troubleshooting, and repairing the Plant site.

* Performing various Preventative Maintenance activities, completing work orders, and recording information in EAM system.

* Troubleshooting motor control systems and replacing defective devices such as fuses, motor starters, relays, power supplies etc. Bearings.

* Troubleshooting 3-phase and 1-phase equipment including pumps, hydraulic systems, packaging equipment.

* Troubleshooting PLC controlled automated systems.

* Fabrication and piping skills such as welding and piping assembly.

* (MIG welding preferred)

* Working in a safe manner following all site safety procedures and work permit processes.

* Ability to perform Lock Out Tag Out.

* Understands Break Down Analysis and can conduct root cause analysis.

* Performing electrical tasks such as unwiring/wiring of different pieces of electrical equipment like motors, drives, valves, lights, contractors, ballasts, and instrumentation devices.

* Assist in other departmental duties as needed.

Qualifications

* Prefer formal education with degree or diploma in related field Technical College (or equal). Military Technical School.

* Basic computer skills. (CMMS, Microsoft office skills, Outlook, Word, and Excel)

* Basic understanding of buildings/grounds infrastructures. (i.e. HVAC, plumbing, electrical, plumbing, irrigation, building structure, etc.).

* Strong customer focus: Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with internal customers, service providers, supervisor, and fellow workers, understands priority communication flow.

* Required knowledge of using proper PPE. (Personal Protective Equipment).

* Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

* Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills; ability to work in a team environment.

* Machine blueprint reading.

* Basic Welding skills.

* Power Transmission componentry, and pneumatics experience.

* Advanced mechanical / electrical skills.

* Occasionally working near hot equipment and / or materials.

* Occasionally push-pull, lift/carry 10-100 pound.

* Occasionally squat, crawl, lift heavy material, job requires repetitive actions: simple grasping, firm grasping, fine manipulating with both hands, installing and maintaining equipment that requires climbing and crawling.

* Good physical condition. Note: Job requires extensive physical activity to include heavy lifting, climbing ladders, heights, etc.

* Willing to work flexible hours.
