Position Overview:

The Account Executive will be the primary relationship driver for a manufacturer in the CPG industry. This individual will act as a liaison between the vendor and Target to drive the business goals forward for all parties. They will get creative with new ideas and solutions for the ever-changing retail space. Someone who has strong presentation and relationship building skills is required.

Responsibilities

* Leader and Manager of an industry leading vendor

* Be Opportunistic: evolve vendors with line extensions, new product categories and growth into additional departments, promotional space opportunities and drive conversion, trade-up and loyalty

* Vendor Management- Main sales manager contact for account - Vendors and Target

* Sales Strategy- develop plan to grow business

* Communication on goals to all parties involved

* Target Buyer Correspondence- future strategy planning and communicate on issue resolution

* Build Trust and Credibility - make strong recommendations that are reliable and value added

* Manage the internal team and lead the business

* Promotional Planning and Analysis

* Market Research and Consumer Overview

* Liaison between Vendor and Category Manager

* Consistent Communication with Vendor and Buyer

* Training Updates and Process Information

* Collaborate on Marketing and Omni-Channel Strategies

* Drive profitability develop and implement sales strategies

* Track and maintain vendor commissions and payments

* Line Review Preparation Manage Expectations- interpret goals of all parties and translate into cohesive collaboration

Qualifications/Experience

* Adjust to changing times and methodology- react professionally and positively to adversity

* Proactive individual with the ability to work autonomously and with a team

* Ability to create and maintain strong relationships

* Professional verbal and written communication skills

* Excellent organizational skills and detail oriented

* Proficient in MS Office programs with an emphasis in Excel and PowerPoint

* A Bachelor degree combined with at least 3-5 years of work experience in account management

* Previous CPG industry experience in sales or category management preferably working with Target

* Strategic thinker with proven analytical skills who manages multiple projects in a timely manner

* Knowledge and experience with Target systems

* Proven ability to develop and train a team

* Curious and passionate about industry trends

* Results Oriented and Accountable

* Builds Trust

* P&L experience and acumen

* Professionally and positively react to adversity

* Ability to problem solve and exhibit a positive attitude while dealing with challenges
