1st Shift: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (6 month CONTRACT, may go longer) Qualifications ? Bachelors degree (BS) in Accounting. Finance may be acceptable if various accounting classes completed ? 2-3 years general accounting experience ? Must be an organized, attention to detail and deadline driven individual. ? Solid Excel skills; able to handle large complex spreadsheets with accuracy. ? Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with team members/leaders. ? Enthusiastic team member adaptable to changing priorities. Responsibilities ? Assist employees with division time keeping system and prepare related labor reports. ? Administer engineering work order system, ensure proper approvals are received, and prepare budget expenditure reports. ? Participate in month-end close, prepare journal entries, reports and account reconciliations. ? Responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reports. ? Consolidate multi-division reports for Group and Corporate management. ? Review travel expense reports for compliance with corporate policies. ? Perform ad hoc duties or prepare reports as needs arise Requirements: 1. Prepares general ledger, asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing moderately complex account information. 2. Recommends financial action s to management by analyzing accounting options. 3. Summarizes current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statements, and other management reports. 4. Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents. Verifies and analyzes business records, transactions, and procedures. 5. Maintains accounting controls by auditing compliance with and recommending policies and procedures. 6. Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. 7. Maintains financial security by following accounting policies and internal controls. 8. Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting a variety of accounting policies and regulations. 9. Prepare s moderately complex financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends. 10. Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential. 11. Applies continuous improvement techniques and methods to internal processes and systems. 12. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks, and/or participating in professional societies. 13. Complies with federal and state legal requirements and professional standards. Studies existing and new legislation, enforces adherence to requirements, and advises management on needed action s. 14. . Shares specialized accounting knowledge with others. Represents organization on specific projects. Mentors new employees. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Work assignments may include cross-functional or project team responsibilities (e.g. continuous improvement ).
