Position at Assistant/Associate Professor rank

The Center for Advanced Lung Disease and Lung Transplantation in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Columbia University Irving Medical Center/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a candidate for a full-time Pulmonary and Critical Care physician at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank, Academic rank to be commensurate with experience, Applicants are expected to have clinical training and experience and research interest in Lung Transplantation and Advanced Lung Disease. The successful candidate is expected to grow and run a busy outpatient clinical practice, participate in hospital patient care activities and bronchoscopy service, teach pulmonary fellows and residents on service, and develop an area of clinical/translational research expertise.

The Lung Transplant Program located at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center campus is one of the oldest programs in the country and has been one of the most prestigious and busiest programs in the past decade. Annual transplant volume currently varies between eighty and ninety with outstanding outcomes despite a very high acuity patient population. Our multidisciplinary team works closely with our intensive care units, ECMO, cystic fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, COPD, and interstitial lung disease programs to provide state-of-the-art and compassionate care to our patients.


Minimum Degree Required


M.D. or equivalent medical professional degree


Minimum Qualifications


Candidate must be board certified or board eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, and must be eligible to practice in the State of New York.
