Job Description

Job Summary

This position is to support clients during/after a natural disaster event, ensuring the integrity

of client facilities and customer electrical services and the timely restoration thereof. Generally

works with a Damage Assessor as part of a two -- person team patrolling areas of electric

distribution facilities in need of restoration.

Overview of Duties

* Assist damage assessor with note taking, map reading and other miscellaneous jobs as required.

* Available to work the daily hours required by the client utility until completion of the

restoration process or until released, typically up to 16 hours per day.

* Utilize GPS, binoculars, cell phone, and/or client radio as necessary.

* Wear proper personal protective equipment at all times while engaged in the restoration

process. (Provided by TRC Solutions, excludes clothing and footwear)

* Ability to operate a tablet, laptop or netbook computer.

* Sitting / driving 80%

* Achieve weekly billable goal as defined by the project guidelines


* Follow Code of Safe Practices as outlined in the company safety policies.

* Possess the working knowledge of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)

requirements specific to the individual's job responsibility.

* Maintain vigilant awareness of surroundings to ensure safety of all storm team members,

utility personnel and the general public.

* Responsible to maintain a safe and healthful place of work.

* Responsible for your own safety. This includes inspecting your own workplace on a daily basis

and promptly reporting unsafe/unhealthful conditions to the PM/Supervisor.

* Report all work-related injury or illness, however slight, to management.

* Make recommendations for a safer workplace and/or work practices.

* Personal protective equipment must be used when and where required, and properly maintained.

Travel Requirements

Travel out of state to areas affected by severe weather. These areas might have limited power and

facilities. Time out of town might be for periods of two weeks or longer.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Must have valid driver's license

Must own smart phone, able to use applications, good earth, related.

Willing to drive personal vehicle a major plus (mileage remibursement, other premiums)
