Associate Director- Corporate Partnerships

This position will work under the direction of the Senior Vice President, Outreach to execute the acquisition, cultivation and implementation of local, regional and select national corporate partner strategies. Primary duties include continuing to develop and grow a corporate acquisition strategy, cultivate new and existing corporate partnerships and event sponsorships and steward corporate partners and programs. Will work in close cooperation with all members of the Nationwide Children’s Hospital (NCH) Foundation team. Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as requested

• Serves as primary hospital contact and relationship manager of select corporate partners. Actively solicits, cultivates and stewards company representatives and facilitates their fundraising efforts.

• Recruits sponsors for select events focusing on prospects and coordinating plans with Event Officer. Supports other development staff on fundraising projects as requested.

• Will regularly interface with the Foundation’s Corporate Alliance efforts to build brand awareness regionally and nationally to expand fundraising campaigns and programs outside of our traditional geographic area.

• Maintains fundraising campaign support including marketing collateral, budgets, stewardship and recognition pieces. Drafts correspondence for stewardship communications and maintains measures for evaluation of campaign/program/event success. Represents NCH at community special events benefiting the hospital. Supports fundraising for signature and auxiliary events with corporate tie-ins.

• Manages the Legal tracking process for corporate partnership agreements.

• Must be able to work with multiple campaigns, events and programs at one time. Must be willing to travel throughout the state of Ohio multiple times throughout the week and out of Ohio for annual conferences and meetings.

• Works with all levels of internal hospital staff as well as outside vendors, volunteers, and media representatives. Communicates with patient families participating in hospital fundraising events and projects.



+ Bachelor's Degree, required.

Required Experience:

+ Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy. Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.

+ Ability to work with highly confidential materials.

+ Demonstrated personal initiative and team player with a positive attitude.

+ Ability to maintain professional composure in stressful situations.

+ Three to five years of fundraising, marketing or related experience, preferred.

+ Experience with various software (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Raiser’s Edge)
