Join our friendly, collaborative, and hardworking Executive team, reporting to the Executive Director. The Associate Director, Community Voice will build and mobilize the strategy, structures and plans to uplift, mobilize and act upon community voice. The Associate Director will develop, maintain, and ensure feedback loops throughout the organization, effectively partnering and collaborating with internal teams to build and act upon feedback.

The San Francisco-Marin Food Bank is comprised of a dedicated team of approximately 240 staff working collaboratively to provide over a million meals to over 50,000 households every week in San Francisco and Marin.

What You Would Be Accountable for:


The Associate Director, Community Voice will be responsible for the following key pieces of work:


+ Build and mobilize the strategy, structures and plans to uplift, mobilize and act upon community voice


+ develop, maintain, and ensure feedback loops throughout the organization, effectively partnering and collaborating with internal teams to build and act upon feedback


+ develop, build, staff, and enable the effectiveness of the (inaugural) Community Council and ensure connection, coordination and linkages between additional targeted participant and partner voice initiatives throughout the organization


+ activate participant feedback with community organizations through enabling participant leadership, co-leadership, and effective strategic partnerships


+ The impact of this role is to center the organization on the voices of people experiencing food insecurity, central to the Food Bank-s mission of ending hunger in San Francisco & Marin


What You Would Be Doing Right Now:


+ Ensure the development of a diverse, effective, and inclusive Community Council


+ Support the identification and removing of barriers to participation in Community Council roles and activities


+ Provide service leadership to the Community Council, ensuring effective facilitation, information management, and team development


+ Ensure effective coordination, connection, and linkages of the Community Council and participant and partner voice initiatives throughout the organization, closely collaborating with internal stakeholders to optimize efforts


+ Ensure the two-way flow of information with/through Community Council to internal operational and governance stakeholders - ensuring cohesion and alignment


What Else You Should Know:


PREFERRED Understanding of the complexities of hunger and its root causes. Ability to manage projects to meet deadlines and track details Advanced writing skills required to prepare content for diverse publics. Experience leading training, and training others is preferred. Ability to conduct effective meetings and to develop and give presentations.

SALARY The position is Full Time. The starting salary for this position ranges from $83,829 - $104,786 per year , with exact salary depending on experience.
