Overview of Position The Banquet Cook is responsible for assisting the Banquet Chef in planning, preparation, and production of all food items for the Banquet operations. The ideal candidate will be able to anticipate guests needs and address them accordingly in order to provide guests with a delightful experience. Essential functions Must be able to carry out the production of all dishes according to the prescribed recipes and specifications and ensure that the portion size, quality, and presentation of the dishes conform to the MOHG standards Check and prepare the required mise-en-place Ensure the proper handling and storage of food so as to keep spoilage at a minimum Keep the kitchen area clean and hygienic Monitor refrigerators and kitchen equipment to ensure they are in working order Set up the kitchen pass before each shift change following Banquet Chef requirements Perform any other reasonable dutys as required by management Complete daily cleaning schedule and record-keeping in accordance the MOHG Safe and Sound HACCP plan Follow HACCP training provided by the Banquet Chef Be compliant with the MOHG safe and sound habits and routines Responsible for the working area to be cleaned and sanitized and the floor without debris Requirements Minimum of 2 years experience in similar position in a luxury hotel property High School Diploma or equivalent Prior food service / hospitality experience required Working with us means We are dedicated to delighting our guests and to delighting our colleagues.
