The Business Intelligence Engineer 2 solves complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. The Business Intelligence Engineer 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
The Business Intelligence Engineer 2 describes the tools, technologies, applications and practices used to collect, integrate, analyze, and present an organization's raw data in order to create insightful and actionable business information. Understands department, segment, and organizational strategy and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed. Follows established guidelines/procedures.
+ Bachelors degree or 5 years of relevant work experience
+ At least 2 years experience in data analysis/ using ETL tools and developing ETL packages using SSIS
+ At least 2 years experience using SQL to maintain and build large data sets
+ Develop Stored Procedures and Dynamic SQL
+ Construct a flexible dynamic framework for automating database build process and stored procedure unit tests
+ Implemented reporting using SSRS
+ Can read and create Database entity diagram's as well as document changes.
+ Worked on a project through its entire life cycle, from design, coding, code review and deployment
+ Proficient in root cause analysis
+ Demonstrated ability to problem solve and provide solutions for business or data issues
+ Be able to work with our clients, listen to their needs and make suggestions on potential solutions
+ Has the ability to work with individuals who may not be as technical and has the patience, ability and desire to mentor when necessary
+ Good presentation skills to conduct demonstration meetings with clients to show progress on projects
+ Has experience working with deadlines and skills in addressing customer satisfaction
+ Has a desire and passion to learn new technologies we can use in the future
+ This role will be WAH until CDC COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. Then the role will report into the office at the Waterside Building in Louisville, KY.
+ Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field
+ Healthcare experience
+ Experience developing a framework using 3NF (Third Normal Form) as well as understand existing 3NF frameworks to continue development
+ Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik)
+ Experience with Cloud based computing (MS Azure)
+ Experience with MS Access
+ Experience with VBA
+ Experience with VB.NET or C#
+ Experience with JAVA (script), Python or R
