We are actively seeking a CEI Inspector in Central Florida. Qualified applicants will be able to demonstrate an established career in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection. The Inspector will be responsible for inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests for compliance with contract documents.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities.
+ Onsite inspection of roadway and bridge construction.
+ Monitoring on site construction activities.
+ Responsible for performing assignments in assisting Senior Inspector in the performance of their duties.
+ Conduct inspections, observations and run materials tests and checking construction work.
+ Maintain detailed records of daily operations.
+ The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed above.
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Minimum two years of experience in construction inspection, one year of which shall have been in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection
+ FDOT Construction Training Qualification Program (CTQP) Certifications
Candidates shall have the following FDOT certifications or equivalent certifications/experience in other states and the ability to obtain these certifications within six (6) months from the date of employment:
+ CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I
+ CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
+ CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
+ Hold a valid Nuclear Radiation Safety
+ FDOT Advanced Maintenance of Traffic (AMOT)
Candidates shall have the following FDOT certifications or equivalent certifications/experience in other states and the ability to obtain these certifications within one year from the date of employment:
+ CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
+ CTQP Drilled Shaft
+ IMSA Traffic Estimates Level I
+ CTQP Final Estimates Level I
+ Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors
+ Or a demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, experience, and qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications.
+ Associates degree in Construction Technology
+ Bachelor?s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
+ Florida Department of Transportation experience
