+ Job Summary
+ Under state mandated supervision by a Registered Occupational Therapist, provides occupational therapy treatment to patients according to department policy and procedures. Demonstrates a commitment to professional accountability and growth to maintain and expand knowledge and skills. Contributes to the achievement of the mission and philosophy of the Organization. + Working Conditions, Hazards and Physical Effort
+ Works inside a typical therapy setting, outpatient clinic, or off ground/unit activities as indicated. May be required to work a flexible schedule. Exposure to stress of dealing with patients/families experiencing pain/discomfort or who have physical/mental disabilities. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. independently.
+ Minimum Qualifications or Equivalents
+ Education: Associate's Degree from an accredited program for COTA’s.
+ Experience: Minimum of three (3) months exposure to related field to include successful completion of clinicals.
+ EQUIPMENT USED/SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: Computer, communication, therapeutic/technical skills.
+ Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations
+ Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant; current Kentucky license to practice as a COTA.
