Responsible for administering oxygen therapy/aerosol therapy to patients; administering ventilator care; respiratory treatments; performing diagnostic testing and/or monitoring and preparing departmental paperwork. Responsible for collecting physiologic data, documenting response to interventions and educating patient/family. Communicates both verbally and in writing. Reports adverse reactions/contraindications. Responsible for maintaining clinical, State and Federal Standards for Diagnostic Testing. Responds to off hour calls when On Standby.
Must be currently certified (CRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
Must maintain a valid certificate to practice respiratory care issued by the Texas Medical Board.
