Change Communication Marketing Strategist, Principal Associate-Bank Marketing

This person will be part of a team tasked with the exciting challenge of bringing transparency, simplicity and humanity to customers through a variety of creative communication channels.

Capital One is seeking an experienced and passionate Marketing Associate to fill a high-profile position within the Bank Customer Marketing organization.

Summary:

The role will be part of the team ushering customers through change during key moments that matter, through clear and transparent communications. The ideal candidate will have proven experience developing and executing large-scale direct marketing campaigns like email and direct mail. To be successful, the candidate will need to work across multiple marketing channels and build powerful relationships and storytelling abilities across the organization.

Responsibilities:

* Lead internal creative teams (including writers and designers) to deliver brand-defining communications across numerous bank channels, specifically direct mail and email

* Guide copy development and approvals of marketing and servicing communications to help support strategic change initiatives

* Operate effectively in an agile, pod-like environment and effectively influence key stakeholders, including business leads and legal and compliance, in a way that optimizes overall customer experience

* Partner with Change Management business managers to determine strategy and copy direction for multi-channel, multi-segment messaging streams on customer level messaging and experience

* Coordinate across functions to deliver on specific Brand and business objectives including Brand fame, customer love and long-term customer profitability

* Leverage consumer insights, reports/analytics and industry best practices to influence Brand communication strategies and drive innovation across the full suite of change communications

* Coordinate release dates and overall customer portfolio experience

* Establish and monitor team level goals and metrics

Skills and abilities:

* Experience leading marketing and brand strategy efforts in large organizations

* Ability to juggle multiple concurrent projects

* Strong analytical mindset in developing marketing strategies

* A passion for the customer experience is a must

* A strong understanding of communication channels and brand marketing

* Must be willing to be hands-on and ready to roll up sleeves in order to get things done

* Ability to influence internal decision makers and key stakeholders with formal recommendations and informal networking through excellent communication

* Excellent communications skills

* Ability to thrive in an ever-changing environment

* Resourceful, innovative creative thinker

* Persuasive, strong communicator both orally and in writing

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree or military experience

* At least 5 years of experience in consumer marketing or communications

* At least 5 years of experience developing marketing strategies through data and customer insight backed analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

* At least 5 years of experience in financial services marketing

* MBA
