Coating Sr Process Engineer
Serve the Final (Coating ) Department by managing various projects and personnel, assisting in day to day management of the process, and implementing process improvements to achieve the department goals in safety, quality, and production.
Responsible for continuous process improvements in efficiency, safety, quality, cost, production, and environmental areas.
Manage assigned projects to ensure they are completed timely and on budget.
Assist Technical Development Department with trial and new product development.
Lead the planning, set up, data collection, and data analysis with all technical development trials and new product development.
Investigate quality problems and resolve technical or system related issues.
Use Six Sigma, LEAN, and other statistical tools to monitor and improve the process.
Maintain all aspects of SMS for the department.
Provide and monitor preventative maintenance schedules for the Finishing Department.
Assist with technical training and development of the core work teams.
Ensure the department's processing specs are accurate and up to date.
Ensure all products meet physical requirement (delamination, tuft bind, length, bow and skew, etc.)
Approve all non-standard products (NSPs) that are coated.
Fill in for Department manager as needed
Identify and resolve process problems with specific styles and orders.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Final Department Manager.
4 Year college degree required OR High School Diploma/GED AND current, active pursuit of a 4 year degree.
Six Sigma Green/Black Belt or willing to complete training.
Engineering degree preferred.
Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
Previous Coating experience preferred.

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
