Job Description

UWM is seeking a Community Outreach Ambassador to promote community awareness of our people-centric culture and mission of helping others. In addition to engaging the local community, you will also engage with our 8,000+ Team Members every day. You will help our users navigating through our Pay It Forward charitable platform and network with outside charities/foundations both locally and nationally. This will involve management of relationships with our existing partners, and developing new ways for our Team Members to interact with the community and learn about different charities.

+ Collaborating and building relationships with foundations, 501.C3 organizations that share aligned values with UWM focusing on making the world a better place.

+ Working with Executive Leadership, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business needs, execute strategies, and identify growth opportunities for the platform.

+ Designing and deploying new initiatives for our Team Members to experience ways of giving back that go beyond financial donation.

+ Performing quarterly donation analysis and make recommendations for maximizing the impact of giving.

+ Conducting daily research on geographic trends and happenings to identify where we can get involved and make a difference.

+ Embracing the high potential for professional growth in this position and in our organization.

+ Raising awareness in communities and organizations to promote the benefits of community efforts within UWM.

+ Serving as a “brand ambassador” for the Pay It Forward Platform

Willingness to put your heart, mind and hard work into this cause

+ Bachelor's degree in PR, Communications, Marekting, Non-Profit Management (or related field of study) or equivalent experience

+ 1-3 years of professional experience in community relations, non-profit development, and/or corporate stewardship and outreach program management

+ Excellent communication skills and content development

+ Experience working with the philanthropic community

+ Perfected customer service skills

+ Ability to independently learn new system quickly

+ Aptitude with data, using data-marts or spreadsheets

+ Experience taking something huge and ridiculous and making it real, preferably in a large corporate organization

You have a strong social intelligence – and the ability to engage well with different types of people.
