Job Description


The Compensation Analyst is a member of the Talent Operations department. This role will be primarily responsible for analytical work related to the maintenance of the Talent Management System supporting Chick-fil-A Support Center Staff.


Assists in the analysis, design, and administration of reward programs including base pay, incentive pay, and other reward programs

Conducts analysis using benchmark data to identify overall competitiveness of pay

Analyzes and interprets data, salary survey results and other available competitor information to ensure an externally market competitive compensation structure

Uses experience to make insightful and logical decisions

Assists in the execution of the annual merit cycle which may include data analysis, follow-up with leadership, and other key tasks to ensure successful execution of the merit cycle

Partners with Talent Acquisition to provide competitive hiring ranges

Partners with Payroll to ensure timely notification of compensation changes

Assists in the preparation of information to inform the establishment of target total compensation for external hires and movement of internal staff

Establishes systems and procedures for tracking incentive programs

Manages survey library annually to determine gaps and ensure appropriate stewardship of budget

Partners with market data management vendor to ensure survey data is loaded in a timely manner

Evaluates job descriptions for quality and availability of comparable roles in the marketplace

Maintains job description database for modifications, additions and deletions as submitted by leadership

Maintains job title framework to ensure consistent use of titles across the organization

Develops ad-hoc analysis,reports, and forecasts from Information Systems and business applications; interprets results that assist leadership with decision making


College degree

3-5 years of compensation experience in a corporate or consulting environment

Strong qualitative and analytical skills including manipulating data, querying, and reporting including the ability to analyze and research compensation trends and partner with appropriate internal and external resources

Builds and maintains strong working relationships with the Rewards team, Talent Directors, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and other key stakeholders

Skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously and managing competing demands

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately

Proficiency in Microsoft suite, including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word

Extensive systems experience including, reporting and data management within a database system, e.g., Oracle, Workday, MarketPay, etc.

Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills

Excellent presentation skills, inter-personal skills, communication skills and team-based project experience

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work well in a team environment
