Job Description

Computer User Support Specialist, Journeyman

Candidate will provide technical assistance to end users in person or via telephone or electronically in regards to computer hardware and software including: printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail, and operating systems.

Responsibilities:

* Monitor HEAT ticketing system

* Vulnerability scanning and remediation

* Software updates and patching

* Monitor Data Center systems

* Ability to monitor related software/hardware, and perform monthly server maintenance

* Physical security monitoring for access control

* Tape transportation

* Maintain Team documentation

* Other tasks as assigned by the Data Center Management team

Required Skills

* Knowledge of DoD Information Assurance Practices, including Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)

* Must be able to interact with peers, management, and senior engineers in a constantly evolving environment to ensure a positive customer experience and atmosphere in the workplace.

* Ability to be a self-starter and take on the initiative to learn more advanced operations and technologies.

* Ability to operate in an embedded Government/Contractor team environment.

Required Experience

* Bachelor's Degree and 3-10 years of experience. An Associate's and 4 additional years of experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's or 6 additional years in lieu of a degree.

* Experience with Windows OS.

* DoD 8570 compliant (IAT Level 1).

* Unix knowledge preferred.
