-United States Air Force Central Command (USAFCENT) is the Air Force Service Component of United States Central Command (USCENTCOM), a joint Department of Defense combatant command responsible for U.S. security interests in 27 nations that stretch from the Horn of Africa through the Persian Gulf region, into Central Asia. This position supports USAFCENT Communications Directorate (A6).

The Construction Management contract support position provides advice for coordinating communication requirements with the Construction Management Offices (CMO) at deployed locations within USAFCENT Area of Responsibility (AOR). (Al Udeid and Al Dhafra Air Bases). This position will analyze new construction being managed by the CMO and provide guidance as a coordination cell between the CMO, the local communications squadron commanders at the applicable locations, and the USAFCENT/A6 staff at Shaw AFB SC and Al Udeid AB Qatar. The Construction Management contract support position will also coordinate with lateral agencies in regards to project logistics, personnel, and maintenance issues. Additional tasks and responsibilities required by this position include but are not limited to;
-Assist in ensuring construction managed by the CMO is reported to the local communications squadron commanders and the USAFCENT/A6 and the Southwest Asia EI Planning staffs at Shaw AFB and Al Udeid AB Cell.
-Provide program management expertise for planning the expansion of the base cable plant to cover any new construction ensuring all interior building wiring is completed as part of the construction.
-Provide on-site advice and assistance at deployment locations to verify the construction building wiring is completed in accordance with accepted USAF standards.
-Provide advice and assistance to Cyberspace Systems Integrator-Deployable (CSI-D) to ensure configuration control and coordination of planned infrastructure into the Base Blueprint.
-Provide the expertise required to facilitate managing communications logistical support issues for long-range projects and assist with management of quality control and quality assurance products throughout project lifespan.
-Four (4) years experience with systems and resources associated with building construction projects affecting communication infrastructures.
-Two 2 year degree (2) in a technical communications field or equivalent 5 years work experience and technical training.
