The Consulting Manager Finance Transformation will be responsible for providing professional business and finance & accounting consulting services, both individually and as part of a project team. The individual will direct the development of high quality client deliverables and work product, lead project engagements and lead in the creation of high valued-added practice methodologies, tools and deliverables. The individual will provide hands on leadership, direction and mentoring of team members, and manage customer relationships.
This role will require an Accounting and Finance professional with a successful track record of transforming financial and operational areas into corporate growth enablers. This individual should possess a proven ability to define organizational strategies and objectives and align these objectives with operational and back-office processes and functions. The individual will be responsible for integrating business process improvements with information technology architecture and solutions.
+ Lead the strategy, design and implementation of Finance Transformation related initiatives, including the optimization of various back office operational processes (Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, Supply Chain Management, Customer Enablement, etc.) through process re-design and digitalization, using a broad range of technologies (RPA, Intelligent Data Capture, Automated Invoice Processing and Workflow, Financial Closing Management and Reconciliation, etc.)
+ Lead the strategy, design and implementation of Business Insight initiatives, including and the design and implementation of robust data analytics solutions to drive client decision support and predictive insights.
+ Assess, plan and lead F&A projects for external clients across different functional areas (Order to cash, Purchase to Pay, Record to report, Accelerating the close, etc.) for operational
+ Participate in the development and delivery of project deliverables, work product, proposals, statements of work, and contracts prior to submittal to the prospective client.
+ Actively participate as part of the client pursuit team as required
+ Successfully up and cross sell on an engagement to broaden Auxis’ revenue generation scope impact
+ Provide subject matter expertise across the management consulting practice landscape, and identify, develop and deliver appropriate operational and systems solutions to clients. Duties may include:
+ Participate in business process and operational assessments (process design and review) including documenting existing operations and processes, interviewing key client staff, etc.
+ Undertake business analysis capturing “as is” operations and requirements, analyzing client operations and requests, understanding client requirements and identifying potential issues and risks that impact client operations, profitability and performance
+ Research business process and operational best practices, measure key performance indicators, be aware of market and industry trends and other performance and cost drivers
+ Provide business process improvement assistance, including developing and implementing process improvement strategies based on client business requirements and operational best practices to design “to be” operational strategies and approaches
+ Support operational strategy, requirements analysis, functional design and systems implementation activities on client engagements
+ Research and remain knowledgeable of industry leading technology solutions for digital transformation and business analytics.
+ Work with clients’ senior management to develop and execute strategies to reduce operating costs, improve financial and accounting workflow, and increase the accuracy and timeliness of financial and operational data and increase accounting value-added services to internal and external customers.
+ 5-10 years of experience working in business transformation, financial operations, cost containment and lean operations engagements; shared services and/or business process outsourcing experience a plus
+ Minimum of 3 years with Management Consulting or Auditing (Big 4 preferred)
+ Experience with business process analysis and design engagements, with an emphasis on Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, and Accelerating the Close Cycle
+ Experience leading highly visible operational change or system implementation projects
+ Ability to collect, assimilate, retain, and analyze information on the business, including data collection and analysis, Financial modeling (Excel modeling), operating model as well as other analytical models.
+ Experience designing solutions, preparing client proposals and performing client presentations
+ Experience interacting with Executives VP level and above
+ BS Degree in Finance and Accounting or Industrial Engineering or related areas with a combination of MBA and relevant experience
+ Experience with Fortune 1000 companies, multinationals, and mid-sized companies in various industries including manufacturing, distribution and retail.
+ Travel +50%, passport required.
Nice to Have:
+ Functional knowledge and experience in the implementation of ERP systems and financial reporting infrastructure. - preferred
+ Familiarity with key enabling technology – Financial Close Management & Reconciliation/ Matching tools (Blackline, Trintech, etc.) – preferred
+ Prior experience with Latin American Business
+ CPA is a definite plus
+ Bi-lingual is strongly preferred (Spanish and English)
+ Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to formulate and communicate recommendations
+ Self-starter who can work with projects from start to finish. Demonstrates initiative to follow up on pending issues and organize assigned work.
