Cook Department: Food Service - GB Schedule: Full Time Shift: 2nd Hours: 10:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Job Details: ~Works under the direction of the Food Service Manager and 2nd Shift Supervisor to ensure that all foods are prepared at the highest level of quality and safety. Be able to prep and prepare meals from scratch. Maintain accurate food inventories as well as maintaining hot and cold food temps. Properly follow procedures for labeling, dating and storing food. Must be able to work in a team oriented setting. Must be able to understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions. Organizational skills are a MUST. Ensure that all patient nutritional needs are met daily while also preparing meals for any modified patient diets. Prefer a strong knowledge of proper food handling involving sanitation and infection control as well, but will train the right person. ServSafe certification required but will certify the right person. Lifting up to 50lbs, standing and bending for a duration of an 8hr period should be expected.
