The RN will be working across inpatient and outpatient to support the afib program. BSN required. At least 2 years' of RN experience in cardiology is required, cath lab/EP experience preferred . Shift: M-F, five 8-hour days, no nights/weekends/holidays. The Coordinator Patient Care is a registered professional nurse who in addition to providing direct patient care (detailed in the staff nurse job description # 7825) is accountable for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of a plan of care for designated patients. The Coordinator Patient Care ensures that quality outcomes are achieved and demonstrates exceptional clinical practice. The Coordinator Patient Care reflects the mission, vision, and values of Northwestern Memorial, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. Serves as a role model for Patients First philosophy. Provides direct patient care. Provides patient and family education for designated patient populations. Assesses, implements and evaluates the plan of care for designated patients. Ensures that quality outcomes are met for designated patients. Demonstrates in-depth clinical knowledge, skills and expertise. Ability to integrate theoretical knowledge base and clinical expertise in decision making. Demonstrates awareness of psychosocial needs of young adults, adults, and the elderly population. Demonstrates knowledge base needed to plan and execute safe and effective care to all ages. AA/EOE Required: Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing ; Current license as a Registered Nurse State of Illinois Professional Nurse or eligible in the State of Illinois ; BLS CPR card; Minimum of 2 years' of RN experience in cardiology . Desired: Cath lab/EP experience
