Yummly has an opportunity for a Creative Director to join our food-obsessed team. We are seeking a passionate individual who has a love of the camera (photo and/or video), food, beautiful imagery, creative storytelling, and ongoing user engagement to help develop, implement, and scale Yummly's in-house production team. The ideal candidate has a blend of experience in food photography and videography along with a desire to produce beautiful creative content and knows how to scale a creative team. This role will be a critical piece of bringing the Yummly voice and brand to life for our users.

As Creative Director you will:

* Produce a wide range of food-related photo and video content end-to-end, from ideation to shooting to post-production, primarily for distribution on Yummly.com and the Yummy mobile apps as well as for social media (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)

* Help develop Yummly's visual language through video and photography

* Juggle multiple projects and initiatives in our fast-paced, deadline-driven organization

* Bring recipes to life in a visually compelling way that drives behavior, pushing the creative boundaries of a historically standard format

* Provide perspective on best practices for scaling internal photo and video operations and help guide selection of new tools and systems

* Identify, build and oversee an internal creative team to support the organization's growing content needs

* Report to the Head of Content and work closely with internal teams to align on voice and support monetization efforts.

Requirements:

* Minimum 5 years professional experience in photo and/or video production, editing, creative development, and marketing design

* A portfolio demonstrating outstanding production and editing skills

* Experience building and leading a team to support multiple projects at once

* Out-of-the-box thinker who loves creative solutions and new formats

* Knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube best practices

* Strong motion graphics skills

* Experience with photo editing, photo file management, Photoshop

* Familiarity with Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and/or Adobe Premiere

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

* Excellent writing and English grammar skills

* Photo and/or video samples required (please send work samples or a portfolio link with resume)

* Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail

* Proven ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines

* Passion for cooking and food - love to be in the room with a camera and food

* Experience with food styling
