About this Position:

In this role you will be a strategic advisor to sales and the business on all aspects of deal strategy. You will work cross functionally with Sales, Finance, Customer Success, Legal, Sales Operations, and Product to ensure that informed business decisions are being made.

This will range from driving individual deal conversations with the Sales Teams, to defining global policies and functionality requirements. You will help define new business models, strategies, and processes relating to Riverbed's Sales and GTM strategies.

Requirements:

* Strong business acumen. Prior sales, contracts management, or business consulting experience a plus.

* Experience in complex deal structuring, including Enterprise License Agreements (ELAs).

* Demonstrate good judgment in solving problems as well as identifying problems in advance, and proposing solutions.

* Must be a self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills.

* Detail oriented, energetic professional who is a team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Strong understanding of reporting systems and data structure, coupled with the ability to work cross-functionally.

* Self-motivated and self-directed.

* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills to enable informed decision making.

* Experience with Salesforce.com, reporting, and CPQ.

* Strong Excel skills including the ability to consolidate multiple datasets into a single document, analyze data sets using pivot tables and formulas. Experience writing Macros a plus.

* Ability to work collaboratively, and interest in being a subject matter expert.

* Excellent follow through.

* Prior experience in the enterprise software space.

* Ability to handle tough conversations and drive consensus on complex and difficult subjects.

* Strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Daily activities include:

* Review, research and approve non-standard pricing requests.

* Manage discount and gross margins.

* Manage and communicate all information related to the Deals Desk mission, guidelines, best practices, playbooks and business processes.

* Implementation of business process improvements.

* Develop and share best practices and ensure standardization across GEOs.

* Coordinate non-standard requests and be able to navigate through complex business processes and policies.

* Participate in designing, testing, and troubleshooting automated deal management functionality.
