The Device Partner Sales team, who build and sell personal computers, edge devices and device related cloud services and solutions with our OEM partners, plays a critical role in achieving this mission. We’re positioned right at the intersection of device and component partners and channel partners to influence building and selling customer targeted hardware and solutions. We work closely with internal engineering, marketing, business group, and our device and services partners to deliver fantastic customer experiences powered by Microsoft platforms – Windows, Microsoft 365, along with Azure IoT and Azure Stack.

**Responsibilities**


**Drive Microsoft platform & technology adoption with partners:**


+ This role will support leading Hardware manufacturers in driving hybrid cloud solutions of two types.


+ Modern Device management solutions leveraging hybrid MDM services (like Microsoft Endpoint Manager) to support device deployment, management and break fix, recovery scenarios.


+ Hybrid Cloud solutions leveraging Windows server as well as Azure Stack HCI as a foundation for OEM partners strategic Hardware offerings.


+ The individual in this role will be accountable for driving technical engagements to land workloads on top of our platforms to drive solutions sales.


+ This position will take responsibility to find new business opportunities where we generate Azure cloud consumption by incubating and building server and AI business in partnership with strategic OEM partners’ related divisions.


+ This position will also take responsibility to find new business opportunities where we generate M365 cloud consumption by supporting partner aspirations to build solutions on top of our productivity and management services offers.


+ You will closely collaborate with internal stakeholders, for instance, our Azure product teams, Microsoft Endpoint Management product teams and Device Partner Solutions team to best leverage our resources and make a bigger impact with aligned priority across the modern workplace and Edge innovation.


+ Act as a trusted advisor to inform partners on Microsoft client, server and cloud platform investments to enable key technology adoption and deliver results through identification and partner management of technical or business best practices or requirements


+ Leverage excellent technical sales skills to drive essential technology design wins, driving both short- and long-term opportunities to deliver world-class devices and solutions powered by Microsoft


+ Represent partner as an internal advocate from technical or business needs/concerns and as technical liaison to internal sales, product, marketing, or channel organizations


+ Keep up to date with trends and competitive insights and engage partners and internal teams to enhance our industry-leading solutions/services further


+ Deliver excellent cross-group collaboration work and teamwork across the Global ATS Technical Sales teams coordinated with the applicable account teams


**Drive Partner Solutions aligned to M365 Management Services (30%)**


+ Support Partner solutions that leverage Microsoft Endpoint Manager to deliver advanced device management capabilities to customers.


+ Support moving legacy partner business (printer solutions) to leverage relevant productivity cloud services.


**Enhance Core Server Business (10%)**


+ Deliver platforms on latest Server OS


+ Drive solutions based on Windows Server


**Drive Hybrid solutions and workloads (30%)**


+ Build Solutions based on Azure Stack HCI. Work with partner to certify both individual nodes and integrated systems


+ Work with partner to build out Azure based workloads to sell as part of partner services offering


**Incubate solutions that can generate Azure Consumption Revenue (30%)**


+ Transfer new market signal and opportunity into relevant scenarios that partners can leverage to build on existing hardware based businesses.


Investigate virtual desktop solutions (Azure Virtual Desktop/ Windows 365) plus management services to deliver ‘compute as a service’ solutions driven by new partner business models to underserved customer segments

**Qualifications**


**Required:**


+ 5+ years’ experience with either cloud HCI solutions or device management technologies or solutions


+ 3+ years experience in driving customer or partner infrastructure integration work


+ 3+ experience working with technical software/cloud services or device hardware engineers to land co-engineering initiatives from ideation to launch


**Preferred: Education, Key Experiences, Skills and Knowledge:**


+ Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or related field AND 5+ years of technical consulting, technical consultative selling, practice building, or related technical/sales experience


+ Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 3+ years of technical consulting, technical consultative selling, practice building, or related technical/sales experience


+ OR equivalent experience.


+ 4+ years experience with relevant technologies (e.g., cloud, infrastructure, Microsoft platform).


+ Formal education or experience in Business or Sales.


+ The ideal candidate should possess a combination of technical acumen, business insight and influence skills to lead design-in, portfolio management and technical engagements


+ Candidates should fuse the talents of a cloud solutions architect, plus device management expert, solution sales specialist business strategist and cross functional leader to drive our technical and early business development efforts


+ Have OEM/ODM ecosystem experience, device management experience, cloud solutions experience and familiarity with cloud infrastructure, VDI, IoT, and HCI technologies a plus


+ Experience working deeply with partners, great interpersonal and communications skills; ability to define a vision, set goals, objectives and work across virtual teams and across Microsoft organizations to achieve specific, well-defined outcomes


+ Candidate should possess the ability to understand product features and benefits from technical requirements perspective while balancing business benefits and trade-offs


+ Excellent verbal and written communication ability with requisite interpersonal skills to partner, collaborate and build relationships with partner accounts, account/segment marketing teams and Microsoft product/marketing groups.


+ Strategically focused – demonstrated ability to anticipate risk/opportunity, then identifies and evangelizes opportunities and priorities for future action - while being able to focus on achieving concrete results individually or through partner execution


+ Understands how to get things done, demonstrates organization agility to overcome obstacles and achieve objectives within and across groups


+ Creatively develops original ideas, approaches and solutions to typical, unusual or difficult situations or problems


+ Customer-focused, responsive and action-oriented to meet customer needs while maintaining a positive, professional image of Microsoft


+ Ideal candidates will have a technical degree (e.g. electrical engineering or computer science) and business degree (e.g. MBA) or equivalent on the job experience


+ Passion for technology and Microsoft products.


+ This position requires domestic and international travel.
