The US Solid IO, Director of Pan Tumor Professional Marketing will ensure and drive OPDIVO (and new assets) brand stewardship while elevating and differentiating the Opdivo (and IO) franchise across tumors. The position will report directly to the US Solid IO, Oncology Commercial Pan Tumor Lead and will have 4 direct reports. Close collaboration with the tumor teams, cross-functional teams, and worldwide is a requirement for success.


In this role and through the leadership of his/her direct reports, the Director of Pan-Tumor Professional Marketing will:

Lead all Pan Tumor positioning, branding, messaging efforts for OPDIVO franchise (e.g. OPDIVO, OPDIVO + YERVOY, OPDIVO + chemotherapy) inclusive of new assets in partnership with worldwide commercial

Partner with worldwide and US tumor leads/teams to ensure branding and message consistency across tumors

Lead branding consistency efforts including ownership of the Brands Guidelines and leadership role with US Brand Committee

Co-partner will all new tumor launches to ensure brand consistency and sub-part E (accelerated approval) management, if applicable

Lead the development of pan tumor professional promotional materials

Oversee unbranded and non-personal promotion efforts

Lead branding efforts for major congresses including ASCO and AACR

Lead and partner with multi-channel hub and IT to advance the way we engage with our customers with focus on enhancing customer segmentation, streamlining content, ensuring appropriate cadence of content, and maximizing channel and media efficiencies across the brand

Drive market research and interact with customer-facing teams to identify and leverage deep customer insights

Manage, coach, and lead a team of 4 highly talented individuals

Work closely with other members of the OPDIVO matrix team (i.e., medical strategy, sales training, sales operations, label operations, patient channel marketing, payer marketing, market research, and project management) to ensure successful and timely execution

Work collaboratively with medical, legal and promotional compliance teams


BS/BA required with MBA or other Advanced Degree Preferred

Minimum of 7-10 years of pharmaceutical experience with a minimum of 5 years of marketing experience

Prior Health Care Practitioner marketing experience with demonstrated expertise in customer focus, insight mining, strategy development, positioning, message development, and marketing analytics

Experience in managing external resources and partners including advertising agencies

Oncology and Sales experience strongly preferred

Proven track record of effectively and efficiently shaping strategy and driving performance within a matrix organization with strong organizational, interpersonal, communication skills and executive collaboration required

Ability to develop and manage strong customer relationships
