Position Overview:

* Do you thrive off finding new business and developing relationships?

* Are you passionate about the consumer goods and retail industries and have proven experience accordingly?

* Do you have expertise with Target processes and procedures?

Responsibilities

* Drive revenue and profit through proactively targeting new vendors who want to or already sell to Target

* Map out target organizations, understand strategies and market proposition

* Identify areas within the market segments that are probable targets

* Establish and meet with decision makers and influencers in those industries and finding and closing opportunities

* Actively search the marketplace for new growth opportunities for Target and identifying vendors whose products meet the desired requirements to fulfill on the opportunity

* Develop relationships at many levels (mid-level management to C-suite level stakeholders) within these organizations to maximize market share in those accounts.

* Create effective education, training, and presentations on Target and vendors behalf

* Develop and execute a business plan for finding and acquiring new customers and developing and managing inbound referrals from Target

* Effectively communicate with and influence colleagues and leadership to achieve organizational and individual goals

Qualifications/Experience

* 7+ years sales experience in retail and/or consumer goods industries; agency sales experience is a big plus

* Demonstrated success meeting sales goals and growing sales

* Experience selling to Target Corporation

* Proven expertise understanding manufacturers, particularly in health and wellness, beauty, food/beverage, children's and/or home industries

* Strong presentation skills to a range of stakeholders from mid-Management to C-suite level

* Experience writing contracts and proposals with proven success is helpful

* Bachelor's degree in business or affiliated field or equivalent experience

* High level of PC proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint) required; experience with CRM systems is a plus
