Brief Description/Job Summary : The ideal candidate will provide Electrical & Instrument detail engineering, equipment selection and layout preparation throughout the project execution. Work closely with global/local engineers, product and project managers to execution project. Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities: Understand the project requirements and develop roadmaps. Complete Water treatment plant detailed engineering. Ability to study of tender documents and extract scope of work for projects. Ability to understand P&ID. Prepare Electrical Load List, Transformer Sizing, DG Sizing, APFC Sizing, HT & LT Cable Sizing, Earthing & Lighting Calculations. Prepare cable schedule for all types of cables, interconnection diagram. Design standard electrical power and control systems and review require drawings. Evaluate designs of control panels and Motor Control Centers (MCCs) for performance, cost effectiveness, and ease of execution. Prepare design schematics including single line electrical, PLC I/O, Instrument Schedule. Assistance in preparation of all detail engineering drawings like Perform calculations including wire sizing, bus bars, power requirements, circuit protective device sizing, etc. Directs preparation of, or prepares drawings (Cable Route Layout, Earthing Layout, Lighting Layout) and specific type of equipment and materials to be used, in construction and equipment installation. Evaluation of Technical offers for various electrical equipment vendors, closely work with procurement dept. Estimating task execution time and ensuring on-time delivery of work with quality. Attend meetings with Clients for approval (if required), meeting with vendors for evaluation of technical offers. Estimates labor, material, construction, and equipment costs. Apply IS, BIS, National Electric Code and Underwriters Laboratory requirements to all projects. Perform Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (DFMEA). Generate bill of materials for Electrical & Instrument contract package and PLC Control panel. Research advance technologies for development of alternative design solutions. Support Value Engineering activities as necessary to meet given project cost and cost reduction initiatives. Work closely with global engineers, product and project managers to develop products and to develop test procedures and test cases for final validation. Minimum Qualifications: Education , Experience , Skills , Abilities , License/Certification : 4-Year Bachelors degree in Electrical / Instrumentation At least 3-5 years of professional experience in areas directly related to EPC Sector organizations.Electrical equipment selection and layout preparation, panel design and validation. Experience in working with PLC, VFD, Transformer and Generator. Experience in Panel Testing. Additional Responsibilities: A high-energy, self-motivated, results oriented individual Strong technical, communication, and inter-personal capabilities Bias toward speed, strong sense of urgency Comfortable with customers and a customer advocate Listens and works well in team environment Ability to solve complex problems Learns new concepts quickly and autonomously Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively Searches out the best practice with continuous improvement mindset Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other communication tools Fluency in English language is must Preferred Qualifications : Proficient in AutoCAD Knowledge of water treatment plant and process is plus Working Knowledge of NEMA & UL standards Working Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC) Good Knowledge of Industrial communication protocols Proficient in Switchgear selection and electrical circuit design Experience creating & managing parts & bill of materials Strong verbal & written communicator Strong comprehension skills, effectively gathering & assimilating information to resolve design and/or customer problems Knowledge of Panel testing standards Additional Information: Electrical test labs, high voltage potentials. Pump controls & test machines and rooms, high voltage potentials, mechanical hazards (moving machinery), high temperature hazards (hot metal, sparks) Occasional travel, both domestic and international
