## Position Description

Are you a great teammate, detailed oriented, workmanship sound, and creative when challenged by unique problems?

The integration and test group is looking for you, a highly skilled Electrical Technician to join our Hardware Development team. You will work with Design Engineers to develop custom hardware integral to satellite assembly and test. We are focused on meeting the demanding requirements of specialized hardware that will function as designed and add value to the program.

As an Electrical Technician you will...

* Work with engineers in the assembly and execution of their hardware design

* Wire and assemble custom electrical hardware which requires practical application of technical knowledge, ability to determine malfunctions, and skill to put equipment into operational condition

* Perform basic assembly operations such as; wire stripping, soldering, crimping, torque fasteners, and component installations

* Keep assembly documentation current with the hardware build to facilitate traceability

* Assist engineer in certification, testing, and troubleshooting operations

## Qualifications

**You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...**

* Are an experienced Electrical Technician with 8-10 years of related hardware construction experience

* Have technical knowledge of electronic principles, and ability to use schematics in such areas of design, equipment assembly, and troubleshooting

* Hold certifications with IPC-J-STD-001 or NASA 8739.1.2,4 (i.e. polymeric, hand soldering, and cable assembly)

* Are familiar with Military and NASA Standards and requirements

* Are able to demonstrate problem solving skills

* Are able to obtain Secret level security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

* Are certified in solder-mount technology

* Have similar or direct experience with spacecraft hardware

* Possess demonstrated organizational skills, team oriented, high initiative, collaborative, and capable of communication with all levels of the organization
