**What will you be doing in this role:**
The Epic Project Manager will provide guidance for operational departments and end users in the implementation of new clinical information systems, modules, and applications. Handles timelines and project risks/issues by effectively communicating to leadership. Functions as the liaison between EIS and the customer to ensure efficient workflow design, system build for customization, and optimization of clinical and revenue cycle systems to best serve our end users and patients. Aides in the development of project assessments and adheres to project management standards.
Projects include deployments of new Epic modules, Epic roll-outs/optimizations, population health related tools/applications, patient engagement related tools/applications, and new healthcare technologies.
+ Facilitates the implementation of small to medium sized projects.
+ With the mentorship of superiors: sets and ensures project goals, milestones, implementation dates are achieved; identifies critical path tasks and predecessor tasks required to complete the project successfully; and provides status reports/updates on aspects of the project.
+ Works with teams to identify problems or barriers for the project. Communicates to EIS leadership and project sponsors in a timely manner.
+ Compiles lists of functional tasks/dates and communicates with user areas to ensure all tasks are included. Tracks project issues and ensures that they are resolved.
+ Supervises project status and ensures that appropriate project monitoring tools are implemented and utilized. Facilitates project planning meetings and/or conference calls.
+ Establishes working relationships with operational personnel and clinicians.
+ 2+ years of project management experience involving the deployment of an Epic application required.
+ Solid grasp of web deployments, preferably in a healthcare organization. (preferred)
+ Demonstrated experience in project management, scope, cost, time, risk, quality, and communication.
+ Relationship and communication skills: excellent clinician and physician relationship skills; good communication, presentation, and customer service skills; ability to collaborate with multiple project teams and being successful in a fast-paced team environment.
Bachelor’s degree. (preferred)
PMP certification. (preferred)
Epic Certificate is required.
