Bowhead Operations and Marine Services (BOMS) seeks applicants for a Marine Equipment Maintenance Manager (EMM) to be located in Kingsland, GA., to provide oversight and supervision of BOMS personnel providing operations. logistics and maintenance support to Commander Navy Region Southeast (CNRSE).

Essential Functions will include:

* Effectively manage all marine maintenance and equipment contractual requirements/deliverables delineated in the Navy Regional Southeast Contract/Delivery Orders. Responsible for oversight, timely completion, quality and budget of all contractual deliverables.

* Responsible for the day-to-day duties of BOMS marine maintenance personnel in support of all requirements/deliverables provided to Navy Region Southeast. Provide direction and supervision to Maintenance Technicians.

* Develops, plans and establishes maintenance objectives and priorities; plans, presents, and justifies maintenance budgets; determines structure; allocates maintenance funds and personnel resources; and assigns responsibilities to subordinates ensuring performance is in accordance with all contractual requirements.

* Establishes maintenance policies, operating instructions/processes and guidance. Develops and monitors maintenance goals and objectives for subordinates.

* Responsible for continuous process improvement in all aspects of business processes, policies and procedures.

* Hears and resolves complaints from employees. Effects disciplinary measures, such as warnings, reprimands, suspensions, and recommends action. Approves/disapproves leave requests from subordinate employees.

* Conducts and document quality assurance checks of the maintenance program on a monthly basis and provide a written monthly reports to the Program Manager and the Customer.

* Supervise and perform maintenance on all engineering, deck, fire-fighting and emergency equipment and is knowledgeable with the application of American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) and American Welding Society (AWS) standards.

(1) a USCG Chief Engineer (Limited), Near Coastal license with management experience in routine operation, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and repairs of shipboard systems and outboard engines


(2) Or have 15 documented years of comparable experience with the maintenance and repair of shipboard systems, hull, mechanical and electrical with an emphasis on outboard and diesel engines.

* Experienced in supervising and maintaining a preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance system, documentation of machinery history, generating maintenance actions due, completed, deferred and drafting reports for accomplishment rate, developing work packages with specifications and hours expended along with costs associated with each vessel or equipment.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
