Duties and Responsibilities


The Evaluation and Data Coordinator will report to the Executive Director for Strategic Planning and Institutional Change for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. This role will be responsible for building tools for evaluation and data collection in alignment with the Office’s goals and outcomes to measure progress and inform strategic planning efforts.


Skills:


+ Experienced data analyst with an ability to communicate data interpretations so they are accessible to a wide range of audiences


+ Competence in program evaluation and measuring outcomes


+ Mastery in developing metrics and evaluation tools to measure progress


+ Proven ability to implement positive change through data-based decision-making


+ Collaborative and well organized


+ Experience with the practice of project management


+ Strong written and verbal communication


+ Ability to communicate at all levels of the University


Roles & Responsibilities:


+ Support the Office of Institutional DEI in building systems for data management, including data collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting


+ Create innovate and engaging systems for data engagement, including dashboards


+ Collaborate with the Office of Institutional Effectiveness to administer an annual climate survey for students, staff, and faculty


+ Analyze evaluation data and compose reports for the Office of Institutional DEI to inform strategic planning and data-based decisions


+ Consult with administrators and managers to develop systems of practice that support data literacy


+ Serve as part of the Strategic Planning and Institutional Change team in the Office of Institutional DEI to address University needs for continuous improvement


Minimum Education and/or Work Experience


Bachelor’s Degree in research and evaluation or related field.


Three (3) or more years of experience as a program evaluator, data analyst, or related role.


Qualifications


Minimum:


+ Three (3) or more years of experience as a program evaluator, data analyst, or related role


+ Bachelor’s Degree in research and evaluation or related field


+ Commitment to and deep understanding of issues of diversity and inclusion in higher education, including access, equity, and social justice


+ Ability to work with individuals from a wide range of cultures, beliefs, and backgrounds


+ Excellent interpersonal skills, facilitation/presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing


Preferred:


+ Master’s Degree in research and evaluation or related field.


+ Experience with data dashboards and platforms, such as Power BI or Tableau


+ Experience with building workshops on how to make data-based decisions for strategic planning


+ Understanding of project management software


+ Competence in models of change management and continuous improvement


+ Experience with using strategic planning tools, such as logic models and root cause analysis

Computer Skills


Solid knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook. Experience with Qualtrics, or other survey software, as well as SPSS and project management software.
