The **Executive Assistant to the CEO** position is a temporary full-time employment opportunity. Reporting to the CEO the Executive Assistant will have regular interaction with multiple departments for Bridgepoint Education. The job will entail day to day support of the CEO in a fast-paced corporate executive environment including, but not limited to, drafting and developing communications with the company’s board of directors regarding board and committee meetings; creation and preparation of board and committee meeting materials including agendas and meeting minutes, among others; creating and preparing meeting materials for internal committee meetings and transmitting to team members; administering heavy calendaring and travel for the CEO; assisting CEO in preparing communication with the board of directors, outside counsel, state and federal government bodies and agencies, among other entities and individuals; coordinating and managing events such as large department meetings and executive team retreats; and working on delegated matters requiring discretion and independent judgment.

+ Ability to independently organize time, manage diverse projects and meet critical deadlines
+ Drafting and developing communications with the company’s board of directors regarding board and committee meetings; board calls and miscellaneous board communications
+ Gathering required information to create, prepare and edit board and committee meeting materials including agendas, materials and meeting minutes, among others
+ Work with the executive assistants of the Board Members in coordinating the board member schedules for attendance at BPI meetings and events
+ Creating and preparing meeting materials for internal committee meetings and transmitting to team members
+ Administering heavy calendaring and travel for CEO
+ Assisting CEO and General Counsel in preparing communication with the board of directors, outside counsel, state and federal government bodies and agencies, among other entities and individuals
+ Coordinating and managing events such as large department meetings and executive team retreats
+ Regularly handles confidential information including internal audit reports, personnel matters, legal and governmental matters, and litigation.
+ Responsible for assisting with the hiring and training for Executive Administrative Assistants.
+ Proven organizational and administrative skills with a high level of attention to detail
+ Database management and ability to produce reports and use advanced functions
+ Work nights and weekends as needed
**Requirements and skills**
+ Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited or approved nationally accredited institution preferred
+ Experience managing and coordinating the schedule and travel for an executive or senior management level employee
+ Possess strong written and oral communication skills
+ 5 years related work experience in an administrative support role in both the corporate and legal area preferred
+ Expert working knowledge of MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
+ Working knowledge of Concur, Serengeti Tracker, and ADP a bonus.
