Extended School Year Program (ESY) - School Nurse RN - Fuller School
The Extended School Year Program (ESY) will run from July 9, 2019 to August 1, 2019 4.5 hours per day (7:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.), 3 days per week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.)
The School Nurse oversees the individual health needs of students; implementing health care plans directed by physicians; ensuring district health care practices comply with the laws relating to student health issues; providing appropriate care for ill, medically fragile and/or injured students; and serving as a health care resource to teachers, staff, and administrators; conducting recommended health screenings and identifying health problems for referral to appropriate parties for proper follow up treatment.
Experience: 3-5 years working in a medical, surgical, pediatrics or family practice. Experience in pediatrics and/or public health preferred.
Education: BSN required within 6 years of hire.
License: Must hold a current New Hampshire RN license, or be eligible for New Hampshire RN endorsement from a reciprocal state, and be eligible for certification thorough the New Hampshire Department of Education.
Also Required: Current CPR certification.
A valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
