Job Description

Hesco Services seeks outstanding candidates for a Fabricator position to lay out, fit, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, and building and bridge parts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding; Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together; Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding; Sets up equipment and welds parts, using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment; Assembles parts by bolting and riveting; Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts; Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year related practical experience (box girder experience preferred) - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals - Ability to write routine reports and correspondence - Ability to communicate effectively with customers or other employees - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume - Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge in the use of computers and basic data entry skills.

Physical Demands - The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, climb or balance and talk or hear.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; work with explosives and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
