Job Description

We have immediate Feedlot Assistant openings for Part-time, Temporary and Internships. We are a family run large feedlot located near Sheldon. IA.

We are looking for honest, hardworking, flexible and reliable assistants to join our team. The right individual(s) must have a good attitude, adaptable to change, be a team player and willing to work hard at any given tasks. Mechanic/farm equipment repair experience is a huge plus! 

Daily tasks will change according to need. These tasks may include some of the following... cleaning pens, feeding, walking and processing cattle, vehicle/tractor maintenance and repair, hauling manure, and seasonal farm help. 

Preferred candidates must have experience operating farm equipment, such as; skid loaders, pay loaders and tractors.

Must have a valid DL license, and reliable transportation. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, however we are not a 24 hour operation, but do operate 7 days a week, our hours usually range from 8:00 am- 8:00pm, hours may differ with need, some weekend work will be required.

Housing and medical are not provided. If you are looking for a flexible schedule, with a team environment, and enjoy working outdoors, this may be the job for you.
