The Financial Accounting Staff contributes to an organization responsible for preparing various financial accounting, SEC, and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation \(DFAR/FAR\) schedules for monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting and filings\. Maintains proficiency in current US GAAP accounting standards \(e\.g\., ASC 606\), SEC regulations, and related developments in interpretive guidance – and has experience using skills analyzing such guidance to train others\. Interacts with external stakeholders, including the United States Government, and internal business personnel to advise on the Company’s application of complex accounting guidance while investigating and resolving compliance questions\. Improves and maintains business process compliance with Lockheed Martin, DFAR/FAR, and Sarbanes\-Oxley requirements by working across the functions and programs to drive contract actions for optimal cash collection\.


Starts with “yes” to create innovative solutions, collaborating with programs, business development, and other stakeholder teams on emerging opportunities and anticipates finance and accounting considerations\. Capable of distilling key points to report findings of accounting and regulatory recommendations to management and business personnel\. Speaks up knowing input will be heard and valued\. Provides valuable insights and new perspectives to institute process changes that address new opportunities and challenges resulting from SAP business transformation\. Seeks key contributor roles on special projects related to digital transformation initiatives in finance and accounting\.


Promotes a “One Team” culture of cross\-business partnering and problem\-solving while maintaining necessary focus on compliance and adherence to principles of accounting\. **Basic Qualifications:**


Basic qualifications:


• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college in a related discipline\.


• Active Certified Public Accountant license \(or comparable certification\)\.


**Desired Skills:**


• Master’s degree in accounting or related finance or business discipline\.


• Relevant experience at a public accounting firm\.


• Experience performing, documenting, and communicating complex technical accounting analyses for revenue recognition and related contract assets and liabilities \(ASC 606\), leasing \(ASC 842\), hedging \(ASC 815\), and business combinations \(ASC 805\)\.


• Experience working in the aerospace industry or with defense contracts\.


• Experience in DFAR/FAR guidance and interpretations


• Excellent time\-management skills and is adept at prioritizing tasks across multiple deadlines and stakeholders\.


• Experience using data analytics and other digital finance transformation tools \(e\.g\., Tableau, Alteryx\) to improve the efficiency of accounting\-related processes\.


• Experience with Microsoft Office tools and SAP\.
