JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Sports Ohio (Cleveland) is currently seeking a Freelance Broadcast Engineer. This person will install, maintain and repair broadcast, studio and editing equipment in the Cleveland facility.

Responsibilities under the supervision of the Chief Engineer:

* Perform maintenance including software and hardware installations, upgrades and updates.

* Engineering support for daily operations.

* Follow all Fox and FCC standards and guidelines.

* Interact daily and communicates effectively with engineering and production staffs to understand and fulfill their requests during shift.

* Other duties/projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Minimum 2 years' experience working in broadcast engineering and studio operations environment.

* Must be knowledgeable in all areas of technical production and familiar with studio production equipment.

* Strong knowledge of technical setup in edit bays, including networking and storage solutions

* Computer operating systems knowledge is a must, networking skills a plus.

* Knowledge of Avid or similar systems with LTO archiving and the ability to maintain and troubleshoot computer based broadcast equipment.

* Strong analytical, reasoning and technical troubleshooting skills are essential.

* Reasonable mathematical skills required

* Must have strong communication skills and be a team player

* Occasionally required to bend and lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders.

* Flexible hours/schedule and weekend and holiday shifts will be required.
