Full Stack Software Engineer I

White Marsh, MD

In This Role, You Will…

The Full Stack Software Engineer will design and develop web and mobile applications, collaborate with the team, work on different layers of the infrastructure, and share in DevOp responsibilities. A commitment to collaborative problem-solving, sophisticated design and development, exceptional customer interfacing, and product quality is essential.


· Read and understand detailed design specifications and implement those specifications in software

· Build customized solutions that support business requirements and drive key business decisions

· Ensure quality of all technical aspects including data migrations, data quality, systems integrations, 3rd party applications, AppExchange products, and custom code

· Debug and diagnose software defects, document software changes, and devise and describe test cases to demonstrate correctness

· Reconcile differences and troubleshoot issues

· Collaborate across team and departments to design solutions that efficiently deliver the required enhancements on time and within budget

· Additional duties and responsibilities may apply


· Node.JS / JavaScript (Familiarity with Express, Grunt/Gulp, and Java/C)

· MongoDB (Experience with Redis is a plus)

· Amazon Web Services (DynamoDB, EC2)

· GitHub

· Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills

· Experience with consumer lending and underwriting a plus

· Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word


· Bachelor’s degree, quantitative studies preferred (e.g., computer science, math, economics, statistics, etc.)

· 2+ years working in a software development role

· Experience shipping readable, modular, reusable code to users

· Deep understanding of web application architecture and computer science principles

· Mastery of at least one programming language (C/Ruby/Python/JavaScript is a plus)

· Comprehensive understanding of database design and development, across both SQL and No-SQL technologies

· Ability to communicate ideas clearly, and write intelligently

· Self-starter who can take an idea from whiteboard to production

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended period; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
