Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
**_What you’ll get to do:_**
+ Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
+ Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
+ Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
+ Assimilate information from multiple sources, create coherent plans and then execute those plans
+ Operates independently with little to no supervision, and establish a solid working relationship with technical staff, peers, and customers

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80A. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
**_You’ll bring these qualifications:_**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
+ A minimum 9 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 7 years with a Master’s; or 4 years with PhD
+ U.S. Citizenship with active DoD Secret Clearance and eligible for Special Access Program Clearance (investigation in the last 6 years)
+ Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
+ Minimum 2 years of Systems Engineering including experience with SE process and SE experience across multiple levels of integration
+ Experience with Missile systems
+ Experience leading technical teams
+ Experience managing and developing engineering requirements
**_These qualifications would be nice to have:_**
+ Active Top Secret clearance with investigation in the last 6 years
+ Extensive experience and understanding of SE process, including SE experience across multiple levels of integration
+ 4+ years of SE experience
+ Extensive Missile experience
+ Operates independently with little to no supervision, and the ability to establish a solid working relationship with technical staff, peers, and customers
+ Strong background in managing and developing engineering requirements
+ Experience in DOORS
+ Able to assimilate information from multiple sources, create coherent plans and then execute those plans
Salary Range: $108,600.00 - $163,000.00
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
