Responsibilities


Guidehouse is responsible for providing business analyst support for a global health initiative (PEPFAR) for our client at the Department of State. The analyst serving in this role will be responsible for gathering and analysing requirements for software solutions, coordinating and participating in cyclical release testing of client financial data, supporting project management activities and in some cases leading areas of project management to deliver on a variety client needs related to change management, systems development, and data analysis. Excellent attention to detail, superior communication skills, ability to put together timelines, milestones, dependency charts, while working in an Agile environment with an understanding of enterprise portfolio systems will make this person a key member of the Systems Delivery team at the Department of State.


Qualifications


The following skills/experience/knowledge are REQUIRED to be considered for this role:


+ Bachelors Degree required


+ 2+ years of relevant experience


+ Experience in a global health/international development setting - ideally U.S. Department of State/USAID, and/or the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)


+ Experience with data analysis, testing, and validation


+ Ability to obtain a Public Trust


+ US Citizen


The following skills/experience/knowledge are PREFERRED to be considered for this role:


+ Active Secret Clearance preferred


+ Software development


+ Business process analysis and change management


+ Federal budgeting/financial managment


+ IT project management and requirements management/analysis


+ Training & communications support - especially for a global audience


+ Certifications Preferred: CAPM/PMP


Skills Preferred:


+ Demonstrates advanced abilities in Python coding language and pandas library to develop, upgrade, and maintain end to end automated software tools comparing large budgetary data sets.


+ Demonstrates advanced abilities in Excel to perform data cleaning and complex data analysis, including demonstrating proficiency with complex lookups, Power Query, and VBAs.


+ Demonstrates abilities and success with working in IT Project Management, Product Development or related field to deliver project and products on time and on budget using Agile methodologies


+ Demonstrates ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience


+ Demonstrates abilities to collaborate with teams, manage and deliver against assigned tasks, escalate risks, set agendas and milestones, and ensure timely delivery


+ Demonstrates abilities and success working with clients to understand and document needs, translating those needs into requirements


+ Demonstrates abilities and success in research and data gathering and presenting results in client-ready deliverables


+ Demonstrates abilities and success interfacing/liaising with technical product teams to capture requirements, test systems, remove blocking issues, and escalate risks as necessary (conduct user acceptance testing in IT systems related to work streams)


+ Demonstrates abilities and success using presentation and interpersonal skills; ability to understand and solution for complex problems
