The HVAC Systems Specialist oversees and completes preventative maintenance and special projects, keeping proper documentation for completion rates and time-frames; oversees and performs contracted services; and represents Plant Operations at all safety committees, quality improvement, construction projects and staff meetings, as appropriate. Has working knowledge of heating, ventilating, and air condition (HVAC) systems associated with Hospitals and Health Care facilities, including chillers, circulating water pumps, air handling units, exhaust fans and supply fans. Has a thorough knowledge of the operation of variable and constant air volume terminal units and is experienced in testing and calibrating both pneumatic and direct digital controls associated with each.
Over 8 years of experience in the following areas, Comprehensive experience with Building Management systems. Knowledge of HVAC requirements for Operating Room, and other treatment areas, with air change rate requirements and testing procedures.
High school diploma or its equivalent
Ability to analyze HVAC systems to identify and correct problems. Knowledge to test and balance air handlers, pumps and fans, and system components (terminal units with pneumatic or direct digital controls).
Auto Cad / Technical drafting.
