Summary Exposure to an exciting career path! We are here to help you create your pathway to your success! You may rotate within Dining Services, Housekeeping and as a Nursing Services Helper. Staying aligned to our Core Values of benevolence, we require our HI (gh) Impactors to perform four hours of unpaid, community service monthly. Our interns must submit proof of the volunteer hours performed monthly. We’re not your typical part-time job. We want to cultivate your leadership skills and great leaders understand the importance of giving back.

The internship also requires that the intern maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5. You will be required to submit proof of your grades monthly. We want to ensure that you are successful both in your classroom and at our network.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Identifies and suggests innovative approaches and participates in implementing performance improvement opportunities. Maintains compliance with Presbyterian SeniorCare Network policy and procedure in accordance with governing laws, regulations, regulatory agencies, accreditation bodies and community standards. Demonstrates on a consistent basis individual and team behavior that supports the Person-Centered, Woodwell and Woodside philosophies of Presbyterian SeniorCare Network. Consistently upholds the mission, values and behavior standards of Presbyterian SeniorCare Network. Maintains confidentiality. Maintains regular and reliable attendance. Other duties may be assigned.

+ Dining Services Aide Position Summary

Assists in providing services necessary for the distribution of meals to residents, staff and visitors. These services include, but are not limited to, production of menu items and other items needed for feeding; maintenance of a safe and sanitary environment; meal clean up and dishes; and promotion of resident and family satisfaction.

+ Nursing Services Helper Position Summary

Under the direction of the R.N., L.P.N. or C.N.A., you will begin your internship as a Nursing Service Helper who provides supportive resident care according to assignment. As a Nursing Service helper, you will assist residents with psychosocial and assigned basic care needs, activities, and transportation.

Upon high school graduation, acceptance into a career path will be based upon the student’s interest, past academic performance and level of commitment. Additional career paths may be created to meet student interests and organizational needs.

Education and/or Experience

Current high school student with a minimum GPA of a 2.5. Proof required. Exceptions to GPA requirement based upon discretion of School Partnership Program Manager.
