Housekeeping Aide-Property Management Department: Property Management Schedule: Full Time Shift: Evenings Hours: Monday-Friday 5pm-130am Job Details: Performs cleaning functions in assigned areas of the facility including all offices, staff areas, procedure/exam rooms, and public areas. These functions are completed following prescribed methods and established schedules. Major Duties: Meets organizational expectations as defined by the Employee Standards of Performance, hospital and department policies and procedures, and the hospital's strategic goals. Verbalizes a clear understanding of continuous quality improvement and customer satisfaction measures and actively participates in improvement initiatives. Clean assigned area using only hospital approved methods and chemicals. Maintain assigned area in a clean and sanitary condition free from dirt, dust and other visable soils. Handle regulated medical waste in accordance with applicable regulations. Handle regular waste in accordance with all laws and regulations. Follow Duty List for assigned area without deviation unless advised by supervisor. Maintain assigned equipment and storage areas properly, keeping it clean and reporting any repair concerns to the supervisor. Other duties as assigned. E ducation/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Preferred: Knowledge of the appropriate use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. High school diploma or equivalent with previous housekeeping experience, especially in a healthcare environment. Required: After initial training, must be able to demonstrate the safe and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Ability to read and write. No previous experience required. Will train
