The Housekeeping Worker is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms, along with performing other cleaning duties as directed.
The starting base salary is $15.10 plus differentials according to shift.
+ Clean and disinfect patient s rooms, bathrooms, and other areas of the facility in a timely fashion
+ Cleaning duties will include trash removal and disposal, sweeping, mopping, and other duties assigned according to hospital policies and procedures.
+ Must understand standard precautions and removal of medical waste, hazardous waste, and pharmaceutical waste
+ Ability to clean surgical equipment, surgical invasive areas, isolation areas and of off-site campus areas depending on shift
+ Must be able to work independently
+ Maintain adequate stock of supplies and chemicals
+ Lift, pull, push up to 50 lbs.
+ Prefer an understanding of following Joint Commission and DOH inspections
+ Hospital housekeeping experience preferred
+ High School Diploma or GED equivalent required within one (1) year of hire.
Candidates who do not possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent will be provided the opportunity to enroll in a GED/HSEA program at time of hire as a condition of employment. A hired candidate will be provided one (1) year from date of hire to successfully complete a GED program and obtain their HSEA.
