Job Description

Identity and Access Management (IAM) Operations personnel perform operational level support activities on IAM technologies for Boston University. This position will be responsible for using IAM tools and technologies to troubleshoot products, processes, and policies used to control user identities and regulate user access within the University; and work with project teams to ensure that solutions are compliant with university policies and standards. In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally with the business to improve Identity and Access Management (IAM) processes and support the presence of the IAM programs within the University. Individuals may be assigned as the enterprise-wide administrator, operator, operational manager and/or owner of a specific technology, function or service. May be asked to participate in IS&T leadership committees. Position must provide availability outside of normal hours to make changes during approved enterprise change windows.


Required Skills


+ B.A./B.S. required, or technical institute degree/certificate. Equivalent work experience can substitute for educational requirement, security-related certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, etc. are preferred, other certifications or certificates in other fields will also be considered for their specific relevance to this position.


+ One to three years of relevant work experience.


+ Demonstrated working knowledge in a specific IT discipline, problem solving/troubleshooting skills
