Inbound Dock Associate

Location: Forest Park, IL

Shift: (Full-time) Monday-Friday - 8:00am-4:30pm

**Mandatory Saturdays during peak season**

***Shift times are subject to change***

Rate: $15.00/hr.

Paper Source is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois and has a Distribution Center in Forest Park, Illinois, which holds finished inventory for stores, direct-to-consumer and wholesale, and a production area which houses the manufacturing operations of Paper Source proprietary product. This position will be based out of the Paper Source Distribution Facility (7801 Industrial Drive, Forest Park, IL 60130). CDC and State Covid guidelines observed.

Position Summary

This position reports directly to the Inbound Supervisor. Inbound Dock Associate will support the Inbound Receiving teams in all functions related to Receiving/Shipping, un-loading, and other dock projects. The ideal candidate will have a focus in maintaining and managing the Inbound Shipments as they arrive into the DC.

Scope of Responsibilities

+ Safely and efficiently sort, handle, palletized and non-palletized shipments using motorized and manual equipment, including manual pallet jack, forklift and by hand as needed.

+ Responsible for signage of delivery of Shipments/packages.

+ Support in the management and maintenance of the Dock

+ Work hand in hand with the Inbound Admins/Detail Receiver to clean up the Dock


+ Machine Operator experience

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently throughout work day

+ Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.

+ Ability to understand and follow instruction regarding work duties and safety methods

+ Work attitude must be proactive and quality focused; always complete required tasks correctly and on time, making sure all deadlines are met

+ Basic written and verbal communication skills (communication with drivers, peers, supervisors, etc.)

+ Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.

+ Prior dock/warehouse experience in the transportation industry

+ Effective organizational skills for managing multiple tasks at once


+ Previous warehouse experience a plus

+ Flexibility of scheduling (which may at times include different shifts, work days or work hours), and, assignments according to the needs of the business.

+ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be able to work standing. Must be able to kneel, reach, bend, lift and must be able to work under these conditions every day.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently throughout work day

+ Ability to work independently and/or as a team member.

+ Performs other duties as assigned by management

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

+ Machine Operator experience
