Job Description

Position Summary:

Provide analytical and tactical support for a large retail indirect procurement team as well as conduct day-to-day procurement activities for materials and services:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensures accurate and timely delivery of cost competitive goods and services, as requested by internal department stakeholders.
  • Manages contract workflow to ensure that all parties are in compliance with agreement and that all executed contracts are stored in the centralized contract depository.
  • Supports procurement projects with effectiveness and due diligence on behalf of the procurement team and best interests of the company by analyzing price proposals, financial reports and other data.
  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships within assigned team and the procurement department to ensure team based approach is effective and productive.
  • Builds and maintains good working relationships with external parties in the procurement industry and supplier base.
  • Coordinates with management in other departments in dealing with projects of a broad nature.
  • Identify and consolidate requirements from C21 stakeholders and have a general knowledge and understanding of suppliers markets.
  • Support indirect procurement projects (market research, need analysis, specification of work, sourcing, negotiation, selection, contract management, roll-out) and actively engage C21s stakeholders in the process.
  • Monitor and report on key performance initiatives (KPIs) such as savings vs. baseline, purchase compliance to contract rates and usage versus demand management forecasts.
  • Financial reporting for all procurement projects and vendor performance (quantitative and qualitative indicators) to management
  • Primary responsible party for tactical functions of procure-to-pay function from PO creation to invoice processing

Minimum Requirements

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • BA/BS or equivalent degree in procurement, business or finance
  • 3-5 year experience in procurement and or, business related function
  • Knowledge and experience in Indirect Procurement, Retail Operations, Financial Analysis is preferred
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders in a complex and multi-site environment
  • Ability to engage stakeholders
  • Ability to drive for results, adaptability, customer focus, decision-making, communication
  • Ability to manage timelines and anticipate obstacles
  • Ability to manage multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously
  • Understanding of business finance structure
  • Service oriented, committed, creative and proactive mindset
  • Entrepreneurial motivation
  • MS office skills - advanced in excel
  • Fluent in English, Spanish is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills, clear communication and basic business acumen required
