*Agency Overview* It is the mission and responsibility of the Bureau of the State House to work with the Executive Office, the Massachusetts Legislature, state agencies and the Massachusetts Historical Commission in preserving, maintaining, and restoring the Massachusetts state capitol. We strive to efficiently provide a safe, accessible, clean, and secure seat of government, place of business, museum of art and history as well as a site for public congregation. *Position Summary:* The Institutional Maintenance Foreman oversee and coordinate the activities involved in the maintenance and repair of the Bureau of State House (BSH) building and related structures; determine the need for repair or maintenance of the building, related structures and/or building utility systems; inspect work of contractors; prepare work progress, cost reports, etc.; arrange for the acquisition of supplies; and perform related work as required. This is an Emergency Personnel position; the incumbent is expected to report to duty when the Governor states that only Emergency Personnel are to report to their job during certain Governor-declared emergencies. *Duties and Responsibilities:* * Oversee and coordinate the maintenance and repair of buildings and related structures. * Oversees the activities of workers engaged in the maintenance and repair of the building. * Maintains records and prepares reports to provide information to superiors concerning work progress, work completed, costs, problems encountered, equipment and materials used. * Maintain Inventory on all BSH materials by acquires supplies, materials and equipment required to perform assigned work. * Responsible for installing, repairing, adjusting, and replacing locks and other door closures. * Responsible for making duplicate keys when required with key cutter machine. * Maintain all sign shop duties by making various signs for the building, name plates, directional signs, etc. using specific machine. * Manage staff uniform yearly orders by reviewing order request and placing orders. * Provide on call services for the BSH on a call-in basis. * Manage CAMMIS System. *First consideration will be given to those applicants that apply within the first 14 days.* Minimum Entrance Requirements: Applicants must have at least (A) three years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in building maintenance, repair and/or construction or in a building construction trade, and (B) of which at least one year must have been in a supervisory capacity.
