Salisbury management Inc. is searching for a qualified Instructional Designer to work with our diverse behavioral health organizations to design and develop both instructor led and virtual learning experiences. Through the provision of raw content. The Instructional Designer will develop training focused on clinical, educational, human resources and other topics as necessary. This is a critical role within the organization, that impacts all operational areas and supports the companys drive to deliver and implement learning and development solutions that enhance employee performance. This position requires regular travel to office/program locations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Design instructional materials, engaging learning activities, and compelling course content that enhances knowledge retention and transfer using theory and best practices to support adult learning.

Engage with subject matter experts and conduct independent research to compile relevant information and content necessary to meet target audiences training needs.

Develop, organize, and update training documentation, include facilitator guides and or course material such as PowerPoint presentations, handout, visual materials, etc.

Develop supporting material using a variety of instructional techniques and formats that support adult learning, such as role playing, simulations, team exercise, group discussion, review activities, videos and lectures, etc.

Design and create engaging, effective e-learning courses. This includes creating SCORM content using e-learning authoring tools; building quizzes and interactivity; video/audio recording; testing of courses prior to their release; uploading courses to the LMS; maintenance and refreshing of content in existing e-learning courses.

Provide learning management system (LMS) administration and support, and technical training for system managers and end users. Research and resolve LMS functionality issues.

Author corporate communications that inform staff of changes to business process and regulatory requirement.

Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring completion and effectiveness of staff training and development.

Assist in identification of training needs at an individual programmatic, and corporate level using a system-based methodology through survey and discussion with designated members of leadership teams.

Participate on various committees or with special projects to further the goals and objectives of the program/company.

Maintain student confidentiality in accordance with company policy and FERPA/HIPAA Privacy Rule and regulations.


Minimum Qualification & Skill:

Bachelors Degree in Education, Instructional Design, Human Resources, Cognitive Psychology, or related discipline.

Experience developing content for both in person training and e-learning.

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of learning management systems and e-learning authoring tools. Examples include: Adobe Captivate, TechSmith Camtasia, and or Articulate.

Experience designing and implementing learning/training solutions to address performance and knowledge gaps.

Experience implementing initiatives that results in measurable improvement.

Proven success using blended learning techniques and technology.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Suite, especially Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.

Prior knowledge/ experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).

Prior knowledge/ experience with e-learning authoring tools.
