Global Service Resources is looking for an Application Developer to help develop a customized web-based Ergonomic (ERGO) System Application. The Ergonomic Program will include education, training, worksite evaluations and exposure controls regarding situations that may cause future Repetitive Motion Injuries (RMI).
Contract: 12 Months with high chance of extension or permanent hire.
Location: Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) in Norwalk, CA
Pay Rate: Negotiable.
***Travel to other County of Los Angeles offices may be required occasionally. Gas and mileage will not be reimbursed, so please factor that into your desired hourly rate. ***
Must Meet ALL of the Following Minimum Qualifications:
1. Five (5) years of experience within the last seven (7) years in application analysis,design, programming and implementation.
3. A Bachelor s degree in Information Systems or related Engineering field from an accredited University.
The application must be developed to ensure that the guidelines of the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) and the Ergonomic Program Policy and Procedures Manual are followed. Compliance with ergonomic regulations is mandatory and each employee must keep an ergonomically correct workstation. The new ERGO system shall be a web-based application which will be utilized by DPSS Safety Staff to initiate an ergonomic evaluation to determine the appropriate equipment and proper work station set-up, it will allow for user defined data/reports and will streamline the processing and tracking of all ergonomic equipment requests and installations throughout DPSS.
Description of Duties:
-Develop an Oracle APEX based application based on the business requirements provided by ITD in the Business Requirement Document.-Provide project control document plan which will include functional and technical specifications of the application.-Meet weekly with assigned County project manager to review project progress.-Participate in Departmental business requirement meetings.-Develop test plan, conduct test and test output for program/system accuracy; and ensure database compliance and security.-Develop and maintain operational and system level documentation.-Serve as a technical resource for other members of the development team. Mentor other team developers in adhering to coding standards and development methodology.
-Provide training to the ITD Application Development Team in the maintenance and support of the developed application.-Develop and maintain application and system level documentation including flow charts, along with detailed logic specifications using Microsoft Office Products.-Provide training to all end users of the system.-Provide weekly, monthly and on demand ad hoc reports to PS as requested.
